Hollywood Dirt

Cole Masten. Abandoned by his superstar wife, Hollywood’s Perfect Husband is now Hollywood’s Sexiest Bachelor: partying hard and screwing even harder. Watch out Los Angeles, there’s a new bad boy in town.

Summer Jenkins. That’s me, a small town girl stuck in Quincy, Georgia. I cook some mean chicken and dumplins, can bluff a grown man out of his savings in poker, and was voted Most Friendly my senior year.

We were from different worlds. Our lives shouldn’t have collided. But then Cole Masten read a book about my small town. And six months later, his jet landed on our dusty airstrip, and he brought Hollywood with him.

From the start, I knew he was trouble. For our town. And for me.

Sometimes, opposites just aren’t meant to attract…

Hey Guys! I’ve got a new book for you. I read this book in just a few hours and loved it. I found the story fun and the characters engaging. To be honest I found a good part of this book HYSTERICAL. The female character is someone that I liked. She was refreshing. I mean how long has it been since I read a book like this I don’t know. Alessandra Torre found a way to make her hero both likable and a complete dick all at the same time. And by dick I don’t mean your typical alpha male  with a dark past and even darker eyes. I mean an actual asshole….and I still ended up liking him. HA!

Cole Maston is a movie star in every sense of the world. On top of being number one in hollywood these days he is also married to a smoking hot wife, three Oscars under his belt and getting ready to produce, act, and co-direct his own movie life seems to be going his way. Until the unthinkable happens. He walks in on his wife having an affair! When life gives you lemons right?  He escapes to the sleepy town of Quincy Georgia, where his next film is due to shoot and runs headfirst into another obstacle: Summer Jenkins.

I LOVED Summer! I found her delightful and refreshing. She hates Cole. Loathes him. just because of what i mentioned before Torre makes him a total douche. This story is not only adorable it is entertaining and a good read. My only complaints were Bennington Payne. I wish we could have gotten more of him as a supporting character in this book. I think he would have been great to read more of. Or perhaps he can have a story of his own. I would definitely read that.

I also found the epilogue a little lacking… cute….but lacking.

Anyway check it out. It is a little more ‘expensive’ on Amazon than most of the books I recommend but I think it is worth it. Plus is a good length for me., 350 words + or its not worth the read. Im a numbers snob I want to get lost in my book. A 400 page book takes about 3.5 to 4 hrs for me to read. Books that are less than that just go by so quickly and I hate that. Sigh….anyway I digress! Read it and lemme know what you though of it.

I am also look for book suggestions of EhBookEhDay as well as submissions for some of my other pages, Check those out as well.
